the Desire Project was conceived as a community engagement project while completing the inaugural Story Maps Fellowship. The fellowship was hosted by Santa Fe Art Institute and funded by Ford Foundation and National Endowment for the Arts.
The nucleus of the project was to focus on what Santa Fe’s community members, particularly the City’s target demographic (under 65) really desires to see and experience as the now mostly defunct Midtown Campus is developed into a community-centric space for art, housing, and commerce.
This project culminated into a gallery exhibition that I titled A Seat At the Table.
